Jen Rhines

Jen has succeeded at all levels of athletic competition. She was a 2x NY State 1500m champion is HS, a 5x NCAA Champion, a 5x US National Champion, and a 3x US Olympian. She also set 2 US Masters records after turning 40 (5000m, 12K).

Jen never bought into the conventional wisdom that you have to move up in distance as you get older. She ran all of her personal bests (800m through 1/2 marathon, only exception is the marathon) between the ages of 33-36. Jen moved back down from the marathon to the 5k in 2008 and had her most successful Olympics at the 5k distance.

She currently lives in San Diego, CA with her husband, Terrence Mahon and their 2 dogs, Star and Otis. In 2018 they co founded The Mission Athletics Club, an elite training group for aspiring Olympians in track & field. Jen is a running coach, a health coach, a speaker, and designs gemstone jewelry as a hobby.
