Another Mother Runner
Dimity McDowell and Sarah Bowen Shea founded the brand Another Mother Runner (AMR) after the 2010 release of their first of three books, Run Like a Mother: How to Get Moving and Not Lose Your Family, Job, or Sanity. Sarah and Dimity developed AMR to be a place where women runners (and walkers-aiming-to-run) can find a (gentle) kick out the door, connect with like-minded women, and get support in spades. Sarah has run 14 marathons, including Boston 2x, while Dimity completed an Ironman triathlon in 2013; they’ve undertaken countless shorter challenges. Dimity lives in Denver with her husband and two teens, while Sarah resides in Portland, Oregon, with her hubs and three teens.
The AMR community includes 2x/week podcasts; an annual program with daily workouts called Many Happy Miles; a training club offering coached programs from 5K up to ultras; virtual race series; an online store; in-person Retreats (when possible!); and more.
